It’s often expected that paper products are to be aesthetically pleasing, usually achieved through bleaching, H2O2, dyes, and in the case of recycled paper, de-inking agents used to remove inks from letters and recycled office documents. For virgin grades these additives are added at both the pulp mills and paper manufacturers, whereas when recycling paper it is returned it to its natural fibre colour, only for the chemicals to be re-added later in the manufacturing process.
That’s why we decided to be one of the first UK natural centrefeed manufacturers to question the need of these unnecessary chemicals and eliminate them from our product. Instead, we utilised our specialist paper making knowledge to refine our paper stock and create an attractive paper shade that functions identically to our other premium centrefeed ranges, preventing further needless chemicals entering our waterways at the end of their life cycles.
